For much of my life, I have been curious about what it means to inhabit a human body, to perceive the world through our individuated senses, and to understand the extraordinary interplay between frequency and form, between body, mind, spirit awareness and soul.
Since 1986, my own experiences of heightened sensitivity have shaped this inquiry, as have more than four decades of working with people through somatic practice, Neuro-Semantics and NLP, Yoga, Human Design, Gene Keys, shamanic practice and yes, even crystal healing back in the late 80's.
Along the way, I have become increasingly interested in the distinction between what we experience, what we believe that experience means, and how readily we adopt other people's interpretations of who we are.
Design Embodied brings these explorations together.
It is a place for curiosity, discernment and practical inquiry into the intelligence of being human, particularly for those whose sensitivities, perceptions or ways of experiencing life do not always fit comfortably within conventional expectations.
I am not here to tell you who you should become, nor do I work in any conventional way. As one who has walked the path of differentiation for over 20 years, I am interested in helping you recognise more of who you already are, how you participate in the world, and what becomes possible when awareness informs the choices you make. With a a lifetime of inquiry, professional practice and lived experience, it's an honour to invite you to develop your own awareness and discernment.

To be human is to be sensitive. We are living, sensing organisms, continually interacting with our inner and outer environments, our relationships and the world around us. We don't all experience life in the same way, nor does one size fit all. As much as we are designed differently, walking a differentiated path is not so easy.
Some of us register subtleties that others barely notice. Some experience heightened sensitivity to emotions, relationships, physical environments or technology. Others are seeking to understand the patterns that shape their responses, choices and relationships.
Sensitivity itself is not the whole story. How we interpret what we perceive, how we respond, and how consciously we participate in life can make a profound difference.
As I mentioned, I am interested in sensitivity as a form of human intelligence.
Not simply in what we react to, but in what we perceive, how we interpret that information, and what becomes possible when we develop a more conscious relationship with our own sensitivity.
Our bodies are continually responding to the world around us. Sound, light, movement, temperature, relationships, technology and the environments we inhabit all contribute to our experience of being human.
What are you are aware of?
This seemingly simple question opens possibilities for greater understanding, discernment and coherence, and yet how often do you pause and listen to the answer within?
Our body is not an inconvenience to be managed. It is a living participant in our awareness.
Long before I began studying Human Design, I was listening through my hands.
Decades of somatic practice taught me that our body communicates in ways that don't always translate neatly into language. Breath, posture, movement, tension, rhythm and the subtleties of sensation offer important information about how we are experiencing life. The invitation is not to believe every interpretation our mind places upon these signals, but to become more skillful in recognising, exploring and responding to them.
My approach brings together years of experience in somatic therapies, Neuro-Semantics, Human Design, Rave Sociology, Gene Keys and the exploration of human relationships. Rather than offering a predetermined formula, our work begins with curiosity about your unique experience.
We explore how you sense, interpret and respond to life, the assumptions that may influence your perceptions, and the relationships and environments in which you live.
The intention is not to become less sensitive, nor for you to do that, but through working together, support you to develop a more conscious relationship with your sensitivity, your capacities, your inner authority and your choices. This work is available for individuals, couples, families, groups and organisations.
Human intelligence is more than the intelligence of the mind. It includes the intelligence of the body, perception, instinct, emotion, relationship and awareness itself. My work is concerned with helping people recognise these different forms of intelligence and discover how they operate through their own particular nature.

Our experiences deserve acknowledgement. Our interpretations deserve inquiry. And. . . different doesn't necessarily mean dysfunctional.
